Yo Thomas: Nice funking call on this story man. I had no idea who this terrible rapper was until you wrote this story, but it had dividends at my tutoring house in Petworth tonight.
I was able to respond to a kid asking me if I knew about it, "Uh yeah the ridin' dirty guys from Texas or Houston or something?" To which a surprised kid said "You knew him." Now this kid had been testing a little bit earlier in the evening, so this left me the perfect opportunity to joan.
"I wouldn't go so far as to say I knew the man, but by pure chance I happened to read a random blog entry on a friends website that mentioned it! His name was Pimp C right!?"
See, in front of the kids, I don't give a fuck about pop culture. Not because I don't, but because they have plenty of other places to go to figure that out.
